Literacy Begins At Home

Parents are a child's first and most important teacher.
Check out this publication paid for by the National Institute for Literacy Publications.
In it you will find checklists for parents of toddlers through third graders.
These checklists list the skills that are generally developing at each of the age levels and
ways to help your child at these various stages of reading development.

There are also links to other booklets that are filled with ideas and information on how to
help your child at home.
